Albums

I have a lot of fun new products that I have been putting together over the last few months. I’ve had these albums done since April but am just getting them posted here. It’s never too late though.

Because I have an extensive background in scrapbooking, albums are something that I love. Albums are also something that I know I have heard every single one of my friends say that they plan to get their photos in an album one day. One day could mean never at the rate we all go though.

So when thinking of what I wanted to offer my clients, Albums came to mind immediately. A lot of my clients get digital images on CD and I know that some may get a few prints but I think many fall into the ‘one day’ category as well. I didn’t want to offer any old album that anyone could make. I wanted to find albums that were bold and beautiful. And I did.

This first one is my favorite. It is the Contemporary and they come with a silk image cover, frosted white acrylic, and leather (not shown) and you can get this album in a 9×9 or the 12×12 with 10, 15 or 20 pages. Each page is a mat with a cut out to fit the images that should go together perfectly and I design each book to create the perfect story from our photo shoot. I love the cover choices. I love the mats. I love how thick the pages are. They’re amazing.

This next book is my coffee table book called the Modern album. However, this book is not ordinary in anyway. When I was thinking of the perfect coffee table book, I wanted watercolor paper and the edges torn like how watercolor artists tear the edges of their art and mount their picture right on the a board. So last winter I went to a photography convention, WPPI (the best thing I have ever done business wise) and there it was… an album with watercolor paper and torn edged. I almost died.

This album comes as a 9×6 or an 11.5×8 (the one shown is this size). You can also get the album without the torn pages and you can get it with smooth pages. But I love the elegance of the watercolor texture. This book comes with a leather cover in black, brown, or red and a photo cover book jacket.

My last set of albums are my Classic albums.  They come in 4×6, 5×7, and 8×8.  There are tons of covers to choose from but my favorites are the leathers (so many colors).  The 4×6 and the 5×7 are perfect for gift albums.  The 8×8 album can have a window like the one shown in green below and each of the pages is a full photographic image like the other two albums but with so much space, I design each page so there are multiple photos on a two page spread (the 8×8 book is also available as a Contemporary album with the covers from that set).

The pages of these albums are hard matboard and the images are adhered straight to the board with about a 1/16″ border around the whole image.  The board colors available are black and white.  The pages can either be 10, 15 or 20 pages.  So a 20 page book is 40 images.  The covers range from fabrics to faux to leather.

Those are the albums.  They are my favorite things to create.  Although I do love a good wall display.  It’s a toss up.  I think everyone needs both:)
