boys boys boys ~ San Diego Children’s Photographer (even with my own kids)

Boys is referring to my boys.  One of my goals is to post more family stuff.  It is how my blog started out after all.  And actually my goal isn’t to post more about that but to take pictures of that… our everyday life.  I tend to miss that stuff and a big reason is that the older boys don’t care for my camera… especially Dallon and also, I just don’t think about it.  So my goal is to keep my camera with me more.  Take pictures of us around the house.  I am seriously missing the everyday candid snapshots that really comprise so much of everyone else’s photo boxes.  I love those kind of photos.

So Tuesday, I remembered this goal.  Slater was playing on the floor with some knex and then he wanted to paint and so I shot a few images.  I need to pull back and not take a zillion trying to get the perfect shot or angle.  Because then I never go through them.  They usually get downloaded but that is as far as it goes.

Here are a few of Slater playing:

Slater loves LOVES (it really needs caps) to do art projects.  He’ll do the daily art projects at school multiple times.  I have his easel right next to me in the office.  There is always paint in the cups… sometimes dried out:P  But painting for Slater is more of an adventure and ends in a bath so I have to kind of bw committed to the whole deal.

Then we went to the boys’ first tennis practice.  They love playing!  They have never played before and now they are on our street every day after school hitting the ball back and forth.  And Slater begging to play too.

Slater found a huge pile of dirt to play in while we waited for their practice to end. I just loved his expression

And then Tucker who told me to go and take pictures of Dallon….
teenage boy
Tucker’s looks have changed SO much lately.  His face is maturing and he is looking more teenager to me.

Dallon told me to stop taking pictures of him all together and hid behind his hand or raquet.  Do these children not realize what a gift it is to have a mother who is a photographer???  I mean, seriously now.
