this little boy…

Kills me! …. he just got a haircut yesterday and while it is nothing, not even close, to how I asked the stylist to cut it, it turned out pretty stinkin’ cute. And I just can’t kiss him enough with his ‘little boy, turned big boy’ new look.   He’s at that age where he likes going out to do pictures and he still gives me the fun candid, silly looks without the cheese.  This first shot cost me a pack of smarties.  I don’t even want to think what the older boys would charge me for taking their picture (the reason there are very few pictures of those two boys).  But Slater… loves it.

the Price family ~ Idaho Falls Family Photography

My dear friend Allison is the reason I went to Idaho Falls in the first place last week. She owns Austin Kade Academy and I went to do a shoot with a bunch of models for their entries into the NAHA awards. Allison needs a San Diego fix every so often so she visits here at least two times a year. I usually see her without her whole family. Although in June my whole family visited Idaho but they were missing their oldest, Austin, the week we were there… so no family photos of all of them. And not this past summer but the summer before, they all visited San Diego and we did a family shoot at the beach on their way out of San Diego which meantwe were really rushed and everyone was anxious about their 12 hour drive.

This time was no different though. We (my mom and I) had to get to Salt Lake to fly out our last day there but we rushed and did a family shoot in a big field. But the great thing about this shoot was that it was SO fun and we got some fab shots. I was so happy with so many.

So Allison and Tyler, you are going to have to build an addition to your house so you have enough wall space to fit all of these 20×30″ prints:)

Let’s start with my very favoritist one. This might be one of my favorite images of the year. I love the background which is just a cement wall with a few weeds growing in front of it. And Libby looks adorable.

There are a lot of great family ones but I think this one is my favorite. I don’t know what is up with the sky but I think that is what it looked like in real life. These aren’t color saturated at all. My mom and I did have a long conversation about how incredible the sky was in Idaho. And as soon as we hit UT, we noticed it wasn’t so awesome. I kid you not;)idaho falls family photography
Austin has really changed a lot in the last year. The first time I saw him was at the Salt Lake airport a few weeks after Joe and I got married when we was 2 years old.Idaho falls children photography
I love this one of Sammy. I think she looks striking in this photo.

Did I mention how much I love these tall yellow weeds? And the reddish ones next to Zoe are the best. Zoe picked out this cutest outfit.91.jpg
This is the 3rd jump I made them attempt and Austin really went all out on this one. And I love how Libby the youngest is grounding the whole family:)

Allison, just think of what we could create if we weren’t in a time crunch:) Although maybe we need a time crunch. We both seem to create great things with less time… except eyelashes;)

the Cornelison family ~ Idaho Falls Family Photography

As I was driving over to the park for this shoot, a hurricane like wind (not that I know what that would actually be) started blowing. It was pretty wild. We only had a short time for the shoot and we had crazy wind going. So we ducked over to the corner of the park by a fence that I hoped would block the wind. The park was just like any park… being green field. But where we were, a section of fence was gone and there was a lot with an old trailer and odd fencing and just good stuff in it. I have yet to find places like this in San Diego. I had a great time with everyone and was really wishing we had time for a full on, take our time, find different places… shoot. But I don’t think we did too bad in our half hour.

Kade on the end there, was super funny. I know in a perfect portrait, he should be smiling and such but I love that he isn’t in this image. It just makes it so much more real. I have quite a few doozies of Kade and crazy faces. He wasn’t the only one either:)

This one I love for many reasons. The laughing smile of course but mostly, everyone in the background. I did this type of shot with all four kids and Kade is quite the character in the background in quite a few. I loved them of each of the kids but here are two of them.daughter photography
