but his tattoo on his forehead (thanks to a babysitting brother) is kinda cute.

I wanted to put together a little preview of what the store shoot will be like on May 30th. It’s going to be so fun! I love the aqua and red with these two cute red heads. These two were awesome little models and how great are their photos???
You can go here for more info on the Little Baby Birdrock mini sessions May 30th and May 31st.
and her twin brother

These are a few of the modern storyboards that can be created. Love them
and last one… love her pouty face:)

I’ve been meeting quite a few new twins families this fall and I love it. I know I have said this before but I have sisters that are twins and I really always wished I had twins. I really wanted my last pregnancy to be twins since I knew it would be my last and the older boys are together and then 9 years and then baby. I may not have twins but I am lucky enough to have photographed lots of twins… and mostly toddlers (not an easy thing let me tell you).
These two babies were such pretty babies. Naomi had the most perfect blonde curls I have ever seen. And Nicholas has eyelashes that go on forever. Oh, they were so cute. The first part of our shoot we, hung around the neighborhood right by the beach in La Jolla where the houses all have cute gates. These two are heading to a wedding in a few weeks and wore their wedding outfits and let me tell you… they were cute beyond belief. Naomi stood with her arms out away from her dress and Nicholas’ knee high socks… oh it was cute. But you can see for yourself below.
She looks like a little doll

and this… some serious sweetness going on

and now onto the beach and out of those clothes

I can’t decide between black and white or color… here is the color though
I have quite a few more images coming in the slideshow… soon:)

I had some fun shoots on Saturday. This one was at the family’s home with their two boys and mom’s parents. The boys were…. just like my boys at that same age of 5 and 6. I remember when they were 5 and 7 and telling Dallon, “don’t get any older… I like you guys at this age.” And Dallon matter of factly saying, “but I have a birthday coming up so I can’t.” I did love that age but each age brings something new and interesting.
As I was editing this shoot and picking my favorites, the images really inspired me to get back into my photoshop alterations. I love photoshop. I think it is amazing and you learn something new every time you sit down to create. I did a bunch of different affects on these images. Some are just the regular but a few have various affects like tilt shift, vintage, bleach, and grainy bw.
When I first started offering product over two years ago (like prints), I really wanted to offer polaroid transfers. They are one of my favorite art mediums. So I bought the equipment to make them and then a few months later, Polaroid announced they were discontinuing the whole line of film. Such a bummer. I shelved the whole project even though I have several boxes of film left, I decided I just didn’t want to move on with it.
Well now I can offer this digitally. I am so excited. This first image is the first one I have put together. I need to order a print to see how it looks but I am loving this alternative.

This next image I think is my favorite… it’s hard to pick though

I love how relaxed and homey this image is

The boys would do what I asked if I let them leap from the couch like frogs. Love it!

Thanks for a fun and entertaining afternoon. I’ll talk to you guys soon.
