San Diego Photographer | Christianne & girls

Christianne was one of my college roommates. Slater and I went to Idaho to visit our other college roommate, Allison and then we headed to Park City to visit Christianne and her girls while they were on their own little vacation. Allison and I see each other pretty regularly but I haven’t seen Christianne for a long time. At least not anything with substance. The three of us had such a great time together… better than old times. Christianne is like Martha Stewart to me. She has incredible style and I envy that in just about anyone. I have never seen the arrangements she does with flowers for weddings but I am sure without a doubt that they are amazing!  Christianne is also thinking of diving into the photography world and I think she would be so great at it.

We went on a little drive around Park City to find a few fun spots to do a session. Everything went great… except later that night when I was in Salt Lake and Christianne was still in Park City (thank goodness), I realized I was missing a very expensive lens. And figured out that it was at the old little shack on the side of the road. And then I started freaking out a little. Christianne said she would go check it out first thing in the morning and she did, bright and early. She reported back that the lens wasn’t there but there was a note. We pulled off on the side of the road close to dusk… how many people could go to this exact location within an hour of us? But thank goodness the people who found it were photographers themselves and knew the lens was a good one and couldn’t bare to leave it sitting there. Christianne picked it up for me later that day and all was right with the world again.

Anyway… long story. The pictures are a must see:)

San Diego Family Beach Photographer | James, Laura & Kids, Carlsbad

I am actually kind of catching up… I think:)  It’s hard to tell sometimes because I get things done, it creates new things to be done.  It’s a revolving to-do list.  The 18th is my goal to have nothing left to ‘revolve’.

The beach is one of my favorite places in the winter.  Few people, cool air, amazing skies.  This session didn’t disappoint in the skies.  And this family didn’t disappoint either.  We have some beautiful images and I can’t wait until they get to see them all.

San Diego Family Photographer | the Mulloy family, Balboa Park

Oh how I love seeing this family.  Triplet 2 year olds.  Having a toddler myself and wanting to pull my hair out often,  I have no idea how these two do it.  I think their absolute adorableness helps:)  There is a great photo below of just Andrea and Rick which I think is such a great shot of them.  But the one after that, with two of the triplets crawling on them and the other one making a fast getaway in the background… that’s really them.  Their family.  I  love it.

San Diego Family Beach Photos | the Mills family, Coronado

We are having quite the summer here at my house.  It would be really helpful to live at the beach (even though we are just a few minutes away).  But walking distance would be perfect.  One day:)  The boys are completely hooked on surfing now.  In between our almost daily surf sessions, I have been fitting in a lot of beach family sessions.

This family was visiting from Texas and finished their stay at the Hotel Del.  We ended up with some very overcast skies which is so unlike August but we had a great time.  The kids didn’t disappoint with their enthusiasm.  And we got some great shots of everyone.   Here are some of my favorites:)
