San Diego Family Photographer | the Smith family, at home

Lots and lots going on over here. If you are planning on a holiday photo session, now is the time to schedule it.

Now onto something new. I have photographed this family many, many, times. Love seeing them again and again. I thought the twins were just the cutest boys when I first met them. But I think their little brother is going to give them a run for their money because he is soooo cute! But see for yourself.

We have done quite a few shots on the bed before but I think this one is my favorite of all of them. I love this photo so much that I wish it was mine and I would print it huge and put it over my bed.

San Diego Family & Child Photographer | A few sessions from the weekend

I’m getting a little behind with my posts. Here are some favorites from three that were done at my favorite spot in Bird Rock. I love it because I can photograph everyone at the beach but also in the cute little neighborhood.

This first session was with a cute family with two year old darling twins. The best part is the mom’s name is Alison spelled with one L and we have the same coloring, both tall… One more Alison for me to add to the 50 jillion that I know:) Two year olds, love not taking photos when they are supposed to. Just sayin’. I’m not even sharing my very favorites of these two because I am trying to be time effecient right now at 11:36pm. But I do love these three from our session.

This next duo of sisters … beautiful!!! These two were so easy and just naturals to photograph.

And last but not least twins and their older brother. Love love love the individual images of each of these kids. The ones I am showing are all kind of serious. But there are plenty full of personality photos in the bunch as well. These three I just thought were stunning. And I love the one of all three of them.

San Diego Child & Family Photography | La Jolla, day 2

The second day of photo sessions was down on the beach just north of Wind and Sea in La Jolla. It was a cold and kind of wet weekend but just dry enough and bright enough for perfect beach photos. I actually do not like sunny days for photo shoots at the beach. Overcast with a glow is ideal. So this set of sessions was a little different than Saturday’s. I photographed a couple of families, one mom who’s son couldn’t make it decided to come herself which is such and awesome idea (every mom should have great images of herself), a birthday boy, a family who was going to the hospital the next day to have their second little boy (congratulations you guys), and some darn cute kids.

I also couldn’t pick just one so there are at least two from each session. I love love love location shooting. So I definitely felt more in my element on the beach. But I think both sessions went pretty great. Here’s day two:

the Veldhouse family ~ San Diego Family Photographer, Mission Beach

I had so much fun photographing these guys. Rebecca is the owner of Little Baby Birdrock, a super cute children’s store in La Jolla. We are doing a special photo session weekend at her store at the end of May… more details HERE. We did our shoot in Mission Beach which is such a fun place to go. You get the beach and the urban setting right next to each other. We did travel kind of far and even the Nicholas was not having the best of days, he was a trooper for how long our session was.
